There is a tie in on this story about Chinese nationals making campaign contributions through the Obama campaign website. It seems that the website has disabled the algo that blocks contributions from outside the US. Reporters have found contributions from non-existent Postal Zip Codes that have been traced back to non-US sources. This is illegal in the US. There are all kinds of ways that foreign national can buy influence in the US but the lazy way is resented… apparently.
